The British Parking Awards 2014 were hosted by Shappi Khorsandi, the Iranian comedian and author whose television appearances include Mock The Week, Live at the Apollo and The Big Read. She is also a regular on Radio 4, appearing on Quote Unquote, The Unbelievable Truth and her own series Shappi Talk.
Outside stand-up Shappi is a sought after commentator on everything from the BBC's Woman's Hour to Open University, Question Time and The Culture Show.
The awards ceremony took place at the Lancaster London on Friday 7 March.
Previous awards hosts have included: Revd Richard Coles, Alexander Armstrong, Sanjeev Bhaskhar, Adrian Childs, Jon Culshaw, Richard Hammond, Jon Sergeant and Meera Syal.
The British Parking Awards are revealed at a gala lunch held in leading London venues.
These sell-out events are compered by celebrity hosts. The British Parking Awards 2011 were hosted by Hugh Dennis, star of the BBC sitcom Outnumbered and star of Mock the Week.
