	Cycle Parking Award Entry Criteria

	Cycling in the UK is undergoing a renaissance, resulting in an increasing demand for safe and secure cycle parking facilities at all manner of destinations. This new award recognises innovative thinking and best practice in the design and operation of cycle parking. Entries could be: specific installations at destinations such as a town centre car park, railway station, college, university, workplace, park & ride site; an innovative piece of cycle parking stand, locker or other kit; a scheme or campaign to encourage the use of cycling that involves the creation or improvement of cycle parking; a cycle hire or rental facility. The category is open to parking operators, property owners, cycle parking manufacturers and other organisations involved in the provision or promotion of cycling. The criteria: Emtries should include details of: Description of the scheme - name, location, aims etc. Who is operating/providing the cycle parking service or technology. How the need for the cycle parking solution was identified and developed. What is the scheme/product user profile. The impact of the scheme on destination - reduced car use, cleaner air quality etc. How the cycle parking scheme/product is marketed. Future plans for the project. Please supply: 1.
