Digital Parking Award
Entry Criteria
This award recognises how the parking sector is embracing the potential of the internet, social media and other digital systems. The category is open to parking operators, system suppliers and other organisations who have devised and implemented web and phone based technologies which: benefit the driving public; improve their own business processes; or communication between staff, partners and clients.

The criteria:
The judges are looking for entries such as:

  • Customer-facing websites providing parking information and services.
  • Car park booking websites.
  • Phone parking apps.
  • Parking elements in sat-nav and other navigational aids.
  • Terminals providing internet access at street level and in car parks.
  • Client websites.
  • Use of website, apps and IP systems in the operation of car parks.
Where appropriate the following areas should be addressed and supporting material provided:

  • Nature of the problem or opportunity the system addresses.
  • How the online/digital service improves on traditional approaches.
  • The type of system devised.
  • The development and launch process.
  • Client and user experience.
  • Promotion and marketing of service (if appropriate).
  • Ability to work across different platforms and systems.
  • Tangible customer and business benefits.
  • Details of how the technology and service is being future-proofed.
