Parking Team of the Year
Entry Criteria
This award is open to teams working for either local authority and private sector organisations. The award covers both on and off-street parking operations, and encompasses front line, back office and support services (including IT, press, marketing, maintenance and service departments).

The award relates to a specific town, borough or location (airport, hospital, retail centre, etc). In the private sector the team entry should relate to a specific department, location or contract, and not the overall national operations of major private sector contractors.

The criteria:
The judges are looking for evidence of:

  • A commitment to positive change.
  • Team leadership.
  • The building of partnerships to deliver results.
  • A commitment to seam building and staff development.
  • Consistent application of good practice.
  • Outstanding customer service.
  • Excellence as representatives of the parking sector to customers and the wider community.
Where appropriate the following areas should be addressed and supporting material provided:

  • Name of team manager
  • Names of key team members and job titles
  • Definition of the team’s role within the parking operation/company
  • Copy of team/organisation/company structure
  • Details of staff training undertaken and success obtained – NVQs, MBAs, etc.
  • External verification of performance: consultant studies, Best Value audit inspections, Charter Mark, etc.
  • Recognition of the team’s work: Internal and external awards, press coverage, customer testimonials, etc.

3. Details of other awards won.
